In my column in The National newspaper, I address a reader question about whether any limitation exists in the UAE on how much alcohol a person can buy. The simple answer is no, but I detail the need for a liquor license to purchase and consume alcohol and who is eligible for such a license. I also ask some questions relating to consumer rights, including on what recourse online buyers have who are dissatisfied with their item, and what rights to information is appropriate for money agents to ask clients when they are sending remittances.
