UAE family matters: Both husband and I have filed for divorce – but in different countries

In my publication this week, I discussed about a scenario where a party initiated her divorce proceedings in her home country while her husband was seeking a divorce judgment in the UAE. I explained that UAE court may have jurisdiction if the case was first filed in the UAE. I also discussed about the applicable iddat or waiting period post-divorce.
